Although we prize our authors highly here at Portobello, it came as a surprise to hear that Raj Patel had been proclaimed the Messiah. He has said 'a flood, of email has come asking me whether I’m Maitreya – the leader of a movement that might be able to save the planet from itself.'
Raj gives the only sane repsonse possible: 'I’m not the Messiah. I’m just a very naughty boy.'
