Jeremy Leggett began his career as a lecturer in earth sciences at Imperial College, London, and worked as a consultant for oil corporations, before jumping ship in 1989 to join Greenpeace as their Chief Scientist, staying for 7 years. He is now CEO of solarcentury, the UK’s largest independent solar electric company, a member of the UK government's Renewables Advisory Board, and director of the world’s first investment fund in renewable energy. His first book, The Carbon War, was described as ‘the best book yet on the politics of global warming’ by the Sunday Times.
Here is the book that exposes the true status of the world’s energy supplies, revealing both the scale of the disaster looming over our planet, and the action each and every one of us must take – right now – to stand a chance of averting it.
