Praise for Good Intentions:
‘Unfailingly funny…A microcosm of modern city life. Good Intentions is abruptly, sharply realistic. Desarthe’s skill is to balance the sheer, pedestrian horror of the situation with her teasing, gleeful humour.’
Observer
‘Desarthe’s storytelling is sublime, spiked with wit, irony and an intense melancholy.’
Literary Review
Praise for Five Photos of My Wife:
‘A magical, stylish and subtle story’
Independent
‘Well told, elegantly conceived and constructed.’
The Times
‘A subtle and sly dissection of love, loss and truth. Darkly funny, too.'
